With our RHA-100ATC refractometer you can determine fast and exactly the content of all usual antifreeze (e.g. Ethylene glycol, Propylene glycol, aG11, G12, G13, SRF1) in your car, your solar plant, heating system and other machines or plants. Both the percentage and the freezing point in °C are indicated directly for the examined liquid. The equipment has a very high measuring accuracy and a resolution of 5°C.




The large measuring range extends from 0°C to -60°C. A further scale enables to determine the charging stateof lead batteries such as z.B. car, motorcycle and boat batteries. By the large measuring range of 1.100sg - 1.400sg and a outstanding resolution of 0.01sg even modern heavy-duty batteries can be measured accurately. The scale has beside the sg-value-scale a concrete indication of charge (charge / fair / good). The automatic temperature compensation (ATC) makes possible the employment of the equipment without restriction in different ambient temperatures. The results of measurement are not falsified. Cheap products without ATC must be newly calibrated for each deviation of the ambient temperature or you receive incorrect results. Already 5°C temperature difference play a crucial role!

Example measurement:
Before each measuring procedure you should clean the lift-up lid and the prism carefully and afterwards dry to leave. Then you give 1-2 drops of the sample on the prism, when closing the lift-up lid the sample distributes itself evenly between covers and prism. Pay attention that no air vesicles form. This would impair the fair result negatively. By easy moving of the lift-up lid the sample liquid can be distributed evenly. Now you hold the refractometer against bright daylight, in order to see the scale by the eyepiece. The desired value can be read off now directly. Please carefully clean and dry the equipment after each measuring procedure, so that no deposits are left on the prism and the cover.
